Why kids need to spend time outdoors
What changed between streetlight curfews and today’s schedules — and how to rebuild unstructured outdoor time.
JrTrack 5 SE is a standalone 4G watch with its own number — real-time location, approved-contact calling and texting, and no social media or internet.
School-Fi uses geo-location to quiet the watch the moment your child steps on campus — then brings connection back at pickup.
Only the people you add can call or message. Everything else is blocked — about 1.8 million unwanted calls stopped every month.
JrTrack 5 SE carries its own SIM and phone number, so it works the moment it leaves the box — no paired phone required. Calls, texts, photos, video messages, GPS check-ins and SOS live on the wrist; social feeds, app stores and web browsers simply do not exist on the device.
Field-tested by real families: Cosmo households log more than 300 million messages and 91 million shared moments, which is how features like group messaging, SafeZones and School-Fi were prioritised in the first place.

School-Fi is a geo-location layer that recognises the campus boundary. Notifications, games and non-essential features go quiet on arrival and return at dismissal — no daily toggling, no teacher confiscation drama, and SOS stays live the whole time.
The watch knows where school is, so focus starts and ends on its own.
Parents keep location visibility and children keep one-touch SOS access.
Helps families comply with no-phone rules while keeping the walk home covered.
These numbers come from live JrTrack devices and our parent app — the same data our product and trust & safety teams review.
Unapproved calls blocked from JrTrack watches every month.
Google rating across hundreds of independent customer reviews.
Messages exchanged inside approved family circles.
Photos, videos and voice moments shared with JrTrack.
Everything is configured from one dashboard on your own phone: who can reach your child, where they are, when the watch is allowed to buzz, and what happens in an emergency.
Real-time location, history and arrival/departure alerts for home, school and practice.
Silence non-essential features during class, homework or bedtime.
Add grandparents, a coach or a carpool parent — and remove anyone in seconds.

Cosmo was founded in 2020 by CEO Russell York with one goal: build connected devices that protect childhood instead of shortening it. Every feature ships only after it passes a simple test — does it help a family stay in touch without pulling a child into an endless feed?

JrTrack 5 SE is a standalone device: it has its own SIM card and phone number, so it does not need to be tethered to a smartphone. It handles calling, messaging, GPS location, SOS alerts, activity tracking and reminders, and it is firewalled against social media and internet browsing. Parents manage approved contacts, location, SafeZones and Focus Mode from the companion app on their own phone.
For roughly ages 6–12, the safest starting point is a standalone 4G watch with parent-approved contacts and no browser or app store. JrTrack 5 SE was designed for that stage specifically: true texting with media, layered safety technology, and no pathway to social platforms. If your child is older and needs email or schoolwork apps, a managed phone may be a better fit — we would rather tell you that than sell the wrong device.
No. The watch runs on its own 4G LTE connection, so it stays reachable on the walk to school, at practice or at a friend’s house. Parents install the companion app on their own phone purely to manage settings and view location.
Only contacts a parent explicitly approves can call or message the watch — everything else is rejected before it reaches your child. Across the Cosmo network that amounts to roughly 1.8 million blocked calls each month. You can review and remove any contact at any time from the app.
Activation is a guided flow documented on the activation page, with device-by-device instructions in the JrTrack user guides. Our US-based team is reachable through the support centre and the contact page.
